Q884: What happens if my service-connected condition improves just a little?
A1: If your condition has improved to the point where you no longer meet the criteria for a specific disability rating, your compensation may be reduced. However, it is important to note that your disability rating will not be reduced without a formal review process. You need to discuss with a DAV rep real soon. (GV) 6/29/23
A2: If your service-connected disability has improved "just a little" and you had asked for an increase, you may be reduced. If you haven't asked for an increase, then the VA would not normally know you have gotten better. Normally the VA just doesn't look at everyone's service-connected disabilities. They don't have time to do that. If you have a mandatory exam or have asked for an increase, then you could be reduced. (DS) 6/29/23
