Q883:  Can I receive VA disability benefits if I already receive Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) benefits?

A1:  YES. I do and have been since 2019. There are no offsets, stipulations, as long as you meet the SSDI criteria since it's a separate government entity from the VA. Hope this helps.  (MD)  6/29/23

A2:  The short answer is "yes" you can receive disability compensation and SS disability. They are not related. Now, if you are on the VA's Wartime Pension, then the answer is "no" because on the wartime pension you are only allowed to receive a certain amount of money per month so there would be an offset.  (DS)  6/29/23

A3:  Yes you can receive both.  (SF)  7/2/23
