Q878: I had prostate cancer and during the surgery they had to cut off more of the bladder lip than they wanted. This causes me to leak and I wear four or five pads a day to keep myself dry. What can I put a claim in for?
A1: The question is, are you service connected for the prostate Cancer. If you are, then you would file for the residuals of prostate cancer and the VA would rate you on voiding dysfunction. The more times a day you have to change pads, the higher your rating. While your prostate cancer is active, the VA rates you at 100%. After your treatment, then the VA rates you on either renal dysfunction or voiding dysfunction. (DS) 6/23/23
A2: You can put in for only things diagnosed by your doctor but if I were you I would go see your local DAV they have people who can help you. (GV) 6/23/23
