A1: It's a little early to speculate what kind of pay raise veterans may receive for 2023. Normally we get the raise that social security recipients receive. Hopefully, the raise will be a nice one. (DS) 7/22/22
A2: Whatever cost of living adjustment is given to Social Security the same is given to all recipients of VA disability. That figure usually comes out around the middle of October. There are lot of figures flying around due to the rate of inflation so what will be the final number is anyone guess. So to put your mind at ease just wait until the number is announced around mid October. (GR) 7/22/22
A3: You will see the largest increase in COLA the government has ever issued. Social Security Administation will make the rate and the VA will match. It's going to be a big increase. (CR) 7/22/22
A4: Not until the official COLA for 2023 is announced/released in October. Anywhere from 8.6 to 10.1. At this juncture who really knows. It would apply to both Social Security and VA disability. Best answer available at present. (DH) 7/22/22
A5: You are likely hearing multiple predictions because the proposed budget is still being voted on in Congress. It will be officially announced later this year and will not be applied to payments until 2023. (LK) 7/26/22
