Q861:  I was stationed at Aberdeen Proving Grounds November 1987 to February 1988 training class for nuclear biological chemical [NBC] MOS [63J].  I have been diagnosed with breast cancer in November 2021 and currently going thru treatments.  Do I qualify for medical disability payments?  If so how do I apply?  Please email me any information and thank you for your time.

A1:  The short answer is - perhaps. The only true way to determine if you do or not is to make sure you're getting services through the VHA and then file a claim with the VBA for any and all possible service connected disabilities.  (TB)  5/2/22

A2:  Polychlorinated Byphenyls (PCBs), were used at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. Breast cancer is on the limited list of disabilities related to PCBs. I would contact an accredited VSO to help you file your claim for disability compensation against the VA. Just Google your state's name w/ department of veterans affairs, ie: Alabama Department of Veteran Affairs, and you can locate an accredited VSO near you to help.  (DS)  5/3/22
