Q854:  I shop at Walmarts quite often and I also ask for the 10% military discounts as usually I am told that we do not give the 10% discounts to veterans. Can anyone check with management to ask why they will not give the discounts at Walmart?  I live in the Hampton roads area and another chain store (Conn’s) does not give the military discounts since they will not give the discounts I have boycott the store.

A1:  Lots of businesses are doing away with veteran discounts.  As inflation becomes a bigger and bigger problem for all citizens, more and more companies are finding discount programs unsustainable.  (BP)  4/16/22

A2:  The VA has nothing to do with private businesses giving discounts to veterans who shop there. All you can do is ask and if they say they don't offer the discounts, then that's it. If you do not want to shop there anymore, that is your choice.  (DS)  4/17/22
