A1: The short answer is yes. The 2019 National Defense Authorization Act allows veterans with a permanent and total service-connected Department of Veterans Affairs disability rating to travel space available on military aircraft. Your category will be a "6" which is the same category that retirees and dependents are placed in. You must have your DoD ID card to travel. You won't be able to travel overseas. Authorized disabled veterans can travel in the continental United States (CONUS) or directly between CONUS and Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam and American Samoa.
