Q837:  I'm a 96 yr old WW2 veteran and lifetime member of VFW, American Legion, DAV, etc.  I'm legally blind and unable to work. Am I entitled to more than my small VA income?

A1:  There are schedular requirements to gaining TDIU, or unemployability. If you have only one disability, then the disability has to be 60%. If you have multiple disabilities, then the overall rating has to be 70% with at least one of your disabilities being 40%. Age is no barrier to TDIU. Again, it has to be your service-connected disabilities that prevent you from obtaining or maintaining gainful employment.  (DS)  3/7/22

A2:  Before I answer your questions I was to say THANK YOU for your service to our Country. Yes, you could be entitled to more VA benefits but there are several questions that I would need to know to guide you on the right track and there not enough space here for me to ask.  (GR)  3/7/22
