Q834: I'm 80% combined service-connected evaluation. However, I'm being paid at the 100 percent because I'm unemployable due to service connected disabilities. I'm totally and permanently due to service-connected disabilities. I'm 80 years old, should I try and get this changed to 100 percent without the IU or leave it as is?
A1: The short answer is to not do anything. You have every benefit that an outright 100% disabled veteran has. If you are P&T then the VA will not mess with you. If you try to get 100% overall, then you stand a chance of being reduced. As soon as you reopen a claim, then the VA can look at everything. (DS) 3/2/22
