Q830: Does the (VA) or other groups provide dental care for veterans?
A1: If you're 100% P&T or 100% IU, or if you have a service connected disability relating to dental, you're covered for dental 100%. However, if this is not the case then there are dentists in the community who will provide dental services free or at a reduced cost to the veteran. I'd suggest a Google search for dentists in your area. (TB) 2/28/22
A2: Yes, the VA does have dental but you have to be 100% total and permanent and if you are 100 with Individual Unemployable you can get it. There was some talk about giving dental to all Veterans but I have not heard of it passing congress. (GR) 2/28/22
A3: The VA's most restrictive benefit is dental care. If you are 100% or TDIU, you can receive dental services. If you are service connected for a dental injury, then the VA will treat only the dental injury or residuals. If your dental injury is caused by, or aggravated by, a service-connected disability, you can receive VA dental care. There are a few other situations that entitle dental care. First step is to complete a VA Form 10-10ez to get enrolled in VA Healthcare. (DS) 2/28/22
