A1:  I've never been reevaluated and I've been service connected for over 20 years.  (HB)  12/20/21

A2:  When the VA awards disability and there is a likelihood of improvement, then the VA will schedule a future exam. They will tell you this in your rating decision. If they don't mention this, then the VA will not bother you if you don't bother them. for example, a future exam would be scheduled for something like prostate cancer. While the cancer is active, VA would rate you @ 100% and then reevaluate you after cessation of the treatment and base your rating on the residuals of the treatment. Also, if you have held an individual rating for 20 or more years, then the VA cannot reduce you unless there has been fraud. If you've held the rating for 10 or more years, the VA can reduce you but not sever the disability unless there is fraud.  (DS)  12/20/21

A3:  By law the VA can reevaluate you any time they want, but mostly they will take a look at you every 5-7 years.  After 20 years they will leave you alone.  (FR)  12/20/21

A4:  If you have been rated at 100% for that period of time and have been total and Permanent the probability of an revaluation is very nil. If the VA has reason to believe that your disabilities might improve you will not be rated total and permanent and they will schedule you for another evaluation.  (GR)  12/29/21
