Q800:  How do we apply for a SAH grant? My husband is 100% disable and we need a few renovations in our home to assist him.

A1:  You file for the SAH grant on a VA Form 26-4555. You can complete the application online if you have an ebenefits account. This is the quickest way. You can also download the form, complete it, and then mail to one of the Regional Loan Centers. You can find your Regional Loan Center by going to: (click here)  (DS)  12/13/21

      

A2:  What I would do is contact is Primary Care Physician at the local VA have that person put in a referral to prosthesis and have them do the remodeling of your resident.  If you need your vehicle modified for him there is an automobile grant you can get to that. It's about 21,000 grant for this.  (GR)  12/29/21
