Q792: I live on the streets in L.A. Mostly, around the city hall area. Get 10% for ringing in my ears but that is not enough to live on. Most of my money comes from donations from the people who see me on the street. I was wondering if it was against VA law for me to panhandle?

A1: The last time I checked, the VA doesn't have time to check every veteran to find out how they get their income. The only time income is relevant to a veteran is if they are on the wartime pension because this program is an income dependent program. (DS) 11/19/21
A2: I don't think the VA cares, it is not their concern how you earn an income. (MT) 11/19/21
