Q736: I am 100% rating disability, I currently have VA provided service 3 days a week (shower, shaving, dressing). My family members assist the rest of the time when I need help, how can I submit for the VA to pay them for their time and assistance? I really need help when going to bed. Thanks.

A1: You can find your caregiver support contact at the closest VAMC
here. They can provide you assistance in completing the VA Form 10-10CG. You can also complete the form online at this page. Click the button to the right middle when you are ready to complete the application. (DS) 6/16/21
A2: Contact an Accredited VSO with the VFW, Am Legion, Am Vetrs or another Service Organization for assistance/information regarding Care Givers Program. Or you can go the the VA website and look under FA Forms and down load VA Form 10-10-CG fill it out and submit to the Atlanta VA address. Also have a VSO assist you and applying for Aid and Attendance. VA Form 21-2680. Your spouse and yourself can apply. Your primary care docstor will have to fill out the form. Then your VSO can submit. A&A is extra compensation. You can also ask your VA Primary care to submit you for Home Care (HISA). The Social Worker assigned to your team can assist you. Home care provides up to 16 hours per week to assist. (GH) 6/17/21
