Q688:  My ship is on the Agent Orange list and I have recently been diagnosed with Pulmonary Emphysema. Could this condition be related to the Agent Orange and is there any chance of me getting any type compensation from the VA for it?

A1:  Currently, Pulmonary Emphysema, is not one of the conceded disabilities related to exposure to Agent Orange. What you might do is file anyway.  If Pulmonary Emphysema is added to the list at a later date, you may be entitled to back pay based on the date you originally file for Pulmonary Emphysema.  (DS)  3/30/21
