A1:  I believe it could if you had those problems while on active duty.  (GR)  3/1/21

A2:  Actually, there has just been a change to 38 CFR 4.71a and 4.73
Musculoskeletal and Muscle Diagnostic Codes effective 02/07/2021. Four new diagnostic codes have been added: two musculoskeletal and two muscle injuries. Three of the diagnostic codes have been removed from Musculoskeletal and 31 diagnostic codes in Musculoskeletal have been revised. One of the most significant changes is to hip or knee replacement. Para 30 benefits, temp 100%, has been reduced from 12 months to 4 months, however, the veteran should actually receive a total of 5 months. A veteran who has a knee or hip replacement prior to 02/07/2021 will receive benefits under the old regulation. Another significant change that has been made is for plantar fasciitis. Just having the diagnosis of plantar fasciitis now will warrant a minimum of 10%.  (DS)  3/1/21
