A1:  The disability benefits is for the veteran and when the veteran passes the disability benefit stops. Now if you have been 100% for ten years your spouse can apply for the Dependent Indemnity Compensation referred to as DIC.  (GR)  11/19/20

        

A2:  In almost all cases the answer is NO. Once you pass the VA disability pay ceases.  (PD)  11/19/20

   

A3:  No! I don't think so.If you or retire military she will get his pension benefits at a reduced rate but if you or 100% disabled she will only get DIC I guess that's the way it works but please check with your VSO.  (TD)  11/19/20
