Q557: I do and have IU for 18 years. I have, and will always have three Purple Hearts and 90% disability + 10% individual unemployability + Social Security ... because I worked at Burger King as a maintenance man for my life's work, not much of a SS payment. My question is, will my individual unemployment be cut? I'm on a walker now and can't work + I'm over 70.

A1: Contact an Accredited Veterans Service Officer from the DAV, VFW, Am Vets, Am Legion or another Veterans Service Organization. Take your VA Award letter and they can answer all of your questions. Start with the VSO who assisted you with your claim. Remember VSOs are there to help you and their advice is free. (GH) 10/31/20
A2: I have checked on this IU many times and get many answers. If you can get a 100% get it. Check with your V service officer. (MH) 10/31/20
A3: No one can say for sure what the VA will do, after 20 years the VA can't reduce the rating. Not knowing the date of your question on how close you are to 20 years. If they would attempt to do that you have 60 days to request a hearing and if that happens contact your Veteran Service Officer. (GR) 10/31/20
