Q526: I am a 100% disable and age 77. VA says I am employable and not permanent. How can I appeal this decision?
If you have a question about benefits, compensation, pension or VA related issues please submit here.
Use Form Below To Respond
A1: Why would you want to appeal a decision granting you 100%? You have left out too many details. You might be 100% for active cancer. Well, that's not a permanent rating. There are way too many issues that could be going on to even begin to answer this question. (DS) 10/7/20
A2: Get stronger medical evidence to support your condition and file a claim for unemployability based on the proof that you cannot obtain or maintain quality employment. (RF) 10/7/20
A3: Why bother with it, you are getting the max pay for disability and your age you are getting the max you can receive for social security. Depending where you live they both might be tax free. (JM) 10/7/20
A4: You need to contact an Accredited VSO with the DAV, VFW, Am Vets, Am Legion or another Veterans Service Organization. Take your all your information from the VA. The VSO will explain your current ratings and/or options as needed. You are already 100% but you have not given enough information to give you advice. (GH) 10/7/20
