Use Form Below To Respond
A1: 1st of all, you have to go to the VA for a hearing test and they will either tell you if all is ok or if there are more problems. If you need Hearing Aids, ask for them! The examiner will look into it. If you already have hearing aids, go in for an adjustment or change your batteries. If you are not happy on how you are treated, file a complaint or go to your local American Legion County Veterans Service Officer. He will file the claim or help you do your research. If you are not still happy with the VA, last but not least, go to a private Doctor for a hearing test and keep all records. If you are worse then go to the VSO again. (GS) 7/7/20
A2: Do as i did. Call your local VA and make another appointment with Audiology dept. and tell them about your hearing loss increase. The hearing test will indemnify your loss. (EM) 7/7/20
A3: Check with Veterans Affairs office and get another hearing check. But you have to go through Veterans Affairs. (DV) 7/7/20
A4: The same way you got the initial claim filed. Just file for an upgrade. Make copies of your records and highlight the areas you need them to see. (LC) 7/7/20
A5: See an Accredited VSO from AmLegion DAV, VFW, AmVets or another Veterans Service Organizations. Take you VA Award Letter and Decision Letter to the VSO. You can file for an increase for hearing loss. Without seeing your correspondence from the VA I just say go see a VSO now. (GH) 7/8/20
A6: Call the VA audiology dept. for a appointment. When you have your hearing test, the person testing will know that your hearing is worse and should offer you new better hearings. If not offered, ask for a new set of aids. Also, sinc e your hearing is worse now, ask the Veterans advocate at the hospital, or Legion, or Office of the aging, who normally has a vet advocate who will help with the paper work for increase in benefit. (EM) 10/23/20
A7: Yes, your hearing can be upgrades by filling out V.A. Form 21?526ez and submit it to the V.A. on page 9, put in line 1 upgrade hearing rated at 20%. (GR) 11/29/20
