Q63: I was a crew member aboard civilian operated Ready Reserve ships in Vietnam (Saigon, Cam Rhan Bay, Vung Tau, and Da Nang). We were often dusted with Agent Orange while in port and transiting to Saigon. I am also a Disabled Veteran and trying to find out if I would be covered?

A1:  I have seen a list of ships that qualify. Dont know how to find it tho.  (DF)  6/19/18

A2:  Probably covered.  The VA announced months ago that Navy ship guys are covered.  If that ship you were on "touched" anything connected to Vietnam, you are most likely covered.  Go to the VFW, American Legion, or DAV, and get an SO.  Stands for Service Officer. They don't cost you anything and they handle everything for you. They are there for all veterans to assist in VA Claims. Those Navy people I believe are called "The Blue Water" Veterans, and they are covered.  Get that "Service Officer."  Some are stationed in the VA Hospitals too.  Mine was in the Kansas City, Missouri Veterans Hospital and they were the best ever.  (CS)  6/20/18
