Q404: I just filed my 2018 taxes, and I am filing my 2019. Because of late filing would I get a stimulus check? I do owe the IRS, but I have made arrangements to pay. My first payment is 15th of May, and I am trying to set up a payment for 2019 as week.
If you have a question about benefits, compensation, pension or VA related issues please submit here.

A1: I'm in the same position as you. I owe the IRS and have been making payments for a few years. If you have an agreement with the IRS you are still eligible for a stimulus check. However, they will not send it to the account you make your IRS payments too. Currently the IRS does not have an option for you to change your deposit information. They realize that this does cause some problems with some filers. The IRS is in the process of updating their webpage to all direct deposit changes. You can check the IRS webpage and look under the FAQ tab and find the same answer. (MH) 4/28/20
A2: Yes you will and if you go direct deposit it will go directly into your account. (RL) 4/28/20
