Q274: I filed a claim for a stroke in 2010 and was denied. It’s my understanding that being exposed to herbicides caused my cerebral vascular disorder. I had an accident. With the new law updated, strokes are listed on the presumptive list. If this is true, I know lots of veterans had strokes from the Vietnam era. Will all of these people get the word? Lots in poor health condition and are unable to know or hear about the change in the law.
If you have a question about benefits, compensation, pension or VA related issues please submit here.

A1: I filed for a stroke in 2011 and was also denied. I think the VA is hiding something. (RK) 10/26/19
A2: If you send me your email I will send you a copy of my book. It was completed in 2011 but it tells you exactly how to handle situations like this. I gave more books out to veterans free rather then selling. To many veterans were not aware of how to structure their claims, so send your email to the above and I'll send the book. I hope it helps (delchapw@yahoo.com). (DW) 10/26/19
A3: My husband developed brain cancer in1998 and was denied any benefits. We were told it causes many other cancers but not his type. He has not been able to work in over 20 yrs. (GS) 10/26/19
