Q26: Can Type 1 Diabetes be Services-connected?

A1: Unfortunately Type 1 Diabetes is not service connectable since it is a genetic condition. (TC) 3/3/18

A2: I filed one claim for type 1 diabetes and the VA denied it as the only diabetes that is service connected is type 2 and that is due to Agent Orange exposure. (GR) 3/18/21
