Q246: I am 100% schedular ( not P&T and not IU ) I am wanting to use my 8 months and 3 days left on my Post 9/11 benefits to pay for one year of school for a diploma and certification in medical billing and coding ( 12 month program). Is there a way I could have my last semester paid for without taking out a student loan? I don’t have the money to take out a loan. The school I will be attending will not turn anything into the VA until I have been there for at least 10-14 days. Stupid I know. They go by quarter hours instead of semester hours. I will be taking three class (4 credit hours ) per class and some online. The semesters are 12 weeks long. Is there a way I could possibly apply for an extension? I’m not eligible for STEM. Also, if I apply for student loan forgiveness would I be eligible even though I am not 100% PT ( just 100% schedular Total Combined. Any answers or help would be appreciated. Thank you.
