Use Form Below To Respond

A1:   Date of the original claim or the date the criteria of award is met.  (DS)  10/23/18

A2:  Your question fits my personal experience almost precisely. My appeal process took nearly 10 years and my claim was eventually granted after I personally appeared before the appeals panel. There was no retroactive compensation -- it was reset concurrently with the appeal decision. If there's a way to receive retroactive compensation I haven't found it.  (AD)  10/23/18

A3:  Pay starts on the day you submit the claim.  I have been denied 3 times on a claim.   My claim started in nov. of 2010.  I am still waiting but I am told I will get retroactive pay.  Fingers crossed.  (GS)  10/23/18

A4:  It goes back to the date of your latest claim. If you were denied and did not appeal then refiled, the pay will stop until you refiled which will start the clock running all over as if you had not previously filed. Always appeal and keep the claim active.  (JB)  12/25/19
