A1:  It would be in your best interest to talk to a Veteran Service Officer (VSO). They have all the available information and will be able to answer any questions you have. Hope this helps you.  (RC)  9/21/18

A2:   Unfortunately, you are not eligible for any benefits based on the information you provided. If your husband died from a service connected connection, you had to be married for one year prior to his death. If his death was not service connected, then you are not entitled to any benefits.  (AP)  9/22/18

A3:  There is a possibility that you could be eligible. Did you have children together? That would do it. Were you in a common law state? Alabama had common law until two years ago and that would do it. I don;t know all the conditions going on so hard to make an absolute statement as to whether or not you had benefits. Contact a VSO and apply.  (DS)  6/30/20
