Q106:  I’ve seen this question b4 but have yet to see a reasonable answer.  Camp Lejeune water was toxic and those who contacted MDS were compensated. What’s the difference if you drank or bathed in the tainted water, or breathed or absorbed some of those same chemicals over in Vietnam?

If you have a question about benefits, compensation, pension or VA related issues please submit here

A1:  Nothing!  (GW)  8/24/18

A2:   Same.  (WN)  8/24/18

A3:  No difference but the VA uses that as an excuse to deny and save the government that used it but did not care what the results would be. They deny hoping each of will die before they find that we all have more than just the so called list of conditions that they know is much larger. Just keep fighting the VA until your last breath for I have for 34 years or more and have got 90 percent service connected.with 10 percent unemployability. Make sure you have a VSO and write to your congressman that way it gets documented. Get hold of ex service members you served with and see what conditions they have and get statements in support of claim form done by them and submit it with the other evidence. Request all your service records and conditions that showed up and save it all on computer external hard drive, hard copies, disks and or flash drives and never lose them. The VA always comes up with can not find the record and when you give it to them and three months later you get all of it back and they say that they already have it. They just hope you don't keep good records so it makes it easier to get stabbed in the back by the government you so faithfully served. Best of Luck and never stop fighting.  (JRM)  8/25/18

A4:   If served in Vietnam you are presumed to have been weposed. Being ASSUMED means just that Assumed. You have to prove that you were actually exposed.  I'm had to show proof by letters from those you served with and they want dates and times. Also there is a map showing sprayed areas and dates.google it..good luck.  (JP)  1/17/22
