COVID-19 Grants Available For Disabled Veterans
By USVCP Staff Writers
April 13, 2020
Disabled American Veterans (DAV) announced April 13, 2020, that all service-connected disabled veterans who lost employment because of the coronavirus pandemic can apply for $250 grants. The grants are on a first-come basis, so interested veterans must act quickly as grant money is limited.
And, more good news from DAV. For service-connected veterans wanting to apply for the $250 grants, DAV Membership is not required.
DAV stipulated the grants are intended to help veterans pay bills, obtain food and provide for their families.
DAV has made applying easy by implementing an online portal where service-connected veterans can simply logon to apply for grants.
FYI: DAV will be required to verify a veterans job loss, and DAV will verify a veterans service-connected disability with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) before grant is released to veteran.
